Bicester North Railway Station

The existing footbridge at Bicester North railway station required encapsulation for grit blasting which required a temporary closure of the footbridge.

TR Services designed and installed a temporary footbridge using a Layer public access staircase system and a bridge across the main railway lines using Hakitec 750 modular beams. This project was complicated by the relatively long clear span of 13 metres over the track and train speeds of 100MPH.
DDA compliant continuous 'not cold to touch' handrails were installed, with GRP tread covers on the steps and resin based anti-slip paint on the landings.
